All I can say is wow! A 5 star restaurant review is a high bar for me. Ropewalk executed everything flawlessly for both of my visits. Service was expedient from seating to ordering to delivery of food. The food and beverages are prepared to perfection. I highly recommend the NY strip steak which was cooked perfectly to med rare. The smoked wings are also some of the best wings I have ever had and fall off the bone. The ambiance and live music on the water is another benefit that I have not seen anywhere else in Chincoteague. Ropewalk has become my new favorite establishment in the area! This is also a great place to watch and take pictures of the sunset with the family as you eat dinner.

We stopped by here to grab some drinks at the bar and got to listen to the bartender complain to his coworkers about how busy it was and how more bartenders were needed....may have been true but yikes, didn't make us feel very welcome. The outdoor dining area was neat and the nearby playground was also nice. We came back to try the food and it was delicious 😋 we opted to sit inside this time since a storm was coming in. We did sit for awhile after we finished waiting for our waiter to bring our check. All in all we would definitely come back.

Came here for lunch. Excellent food, good quality, fresh ingredients, food well presented and friendly staff. The sand area with the picnic tables near the water is excellent for its view and atmosphere. Would recommend and would eat here again 5 stars experience for me.

Sitting outside on their 'beach' with live music is really nice! Big menu and service was excellent. Great family restaurant. Food was very good though not excellent. Still, this is a quality choice on the island.
