Used to be nice & easy several years back & I rarely had problems. Nowadays, since a bit before covid this place seems to have fallen apart for no apparent reason. Super long waits unless you manage to come in at odd hours, unexpected delays in refills, poor communication with doctor’s office & insurance, staff who seem reluctant to deal with an increasingly frustrated customer base & hide behind other tasks, meds not being there when the system says otherwise, employees understaffed/overstressed into chronic anxiety/rudeness. I’d switch pharmacies if my insurance would cover anywhere else nearby. Honestly, at this point a long drive would be preferable to this incompetent nonesense.

Over the past few months I have noticed an increase in staff at the pharmacy. And the efficiency of the pharmacy has improved considerably. Previously I would agree that the cause of the negative reviews were due to the staffing issue. Overall there is a marked improvement.

They'll give you a date for when your pickup will be ready, and each time you arrive on the given date they'll have a reason for why it's not actually ready yet. They'll string you along like this for weeks. The most fun part of the whole Fred Meyer Pharmacy experience is waiting in line for 45 minutes just to be told you're going to have to come back in three days. I've noticed that a fair amount of people ahead of me being helped are also being told that their prescription isn't ready yet. I feel bad for people who need heart medication or anything critical who end up dealing with this pharmacy.

Absolutely horrendous excuse for a pharmacy. My partner was transferring her prescriptions here from Kaiser. We called five days a go to put the transfer through. She was out of medication today and so I called to see if it was ready. I spoke with someone who at first could not even find my partner in the system and then when she finally did told me they had no record of ever requesting the transfer. After some back and forth she seemed to find that they had put the transfer through but hadn't yet heard back. I told her that my partner was out of her medication and could absolutely not miss a dose as she will become very sick, so I asked if there was any way to give her a couple of pills as an emergency RX. I was told this wasn't possible without an existing prescription, which I understand is the law. But then out of nowhere, the person I was speaking to said she had suddenly found the prescription and that it would be ready by 3:30 today and then promptly hung up the phone. My partner went to the pharmacy at 5 and waited in line for over 30 minutes only to be told once she got to the counter that they had not received the prescription and that nothing was ready. I'm not sure what happened here; if I was lied to in an attempt to get me off the phone, if the prescription was lost in the clear disorganized shuffle of this place, or if it was a case of mistaken identity. Regardless of the cause, the result is unacceptable and means that my partner will be very very sick while we wait for her medication to be ready in the coming days.

They have them periodically, I would call ahead and specify your age group. Sometimes there is no one there to administer the shot even if they do have it in stock.
