I have been trying to get an appointment for my toddler for a dentist since he has cavities after the pandemic has been lessened but was told that my insurance only covers one visit per year (care Oregon). I called the next year and was told that they won’t be seeing my todd because he CRIES when checking his teeth so they wouldn’t let me make an appointment!!!! He’s a todd of course he’s going to cry!!! I got pssed off and cussed her out and now they won’t give me an appointment at all. They have no respect for family with children. They always act annoyed and triggered when talking to them and act like they really hate their jobs. They’re never in a good mood. Costumer service is not their priority so they treat you how they treat themselves-with hatred.

I’ve appreciated the staff when I’m in and receiving care, however, communicating with the clinic is extremely tedious, in a way that I’m certain would deter people from receiving care in the first place. I try to utilize “My Chart”, I used it to order med refills the first time I needed them, but got a message from an LPN when I recently tried to reorder meds saying I had to call. You can’t speak to a pharmacist directly, you’re prompted to leave a message with your information. I’m fairly confident you can’t reach the clinic directly altogether, if you call you will go to a directory and someone in a call center will redirect you, I did this with the hope I’d be connected to a pharmacist, but I just got sent to their voicemail system. I know this clinic is busy and has its challenges but these communication barriers really feel prohibitive and discouraging for people like myself who already have a habit of avoiding healthcare.

Walked in, first time , had no insurance, unable to pay. They made an appointment for me. Helped me fill out the neccessary paper work to apply for assistance. I saw a doctor, got medicine and scheduled follow ups. No cost. Took 4 hours . Very efficient operation. Now that I have an OHP insurance number office wait is 10.minutes when I have an appointment. Staff is professional . This place is a hidden gem.

Once I was approved for OHP I called customer service to setup my first appointment and this was the location that I could be seen the soonest. My experiences with my team of providers has been great so far. I like the fact they use My Chart for tracking test results, my medical record, appointments and I can email my doctors. I deducted one star because not all my experiences with the check-in clerks have been pleasant. When first approved for OHP they give you OpenCard until your assigned a provider. On the Friday before my Monday appointment I was assigned to Kaiser at my CCO. Mid-County Health Center only accepts Providence or Care Oregon. I received a call from my doctors assistant that I needed to call OHP to request a change. Unfortunately the call center had already closed so I had to wait until Monday. Before my appointment I was able to get my CCO changed to Providence however when I showed up for my appointment the clerk told me I couldn't be seen because the system showed my insurance as Kaiser. I told him that was no longer the case and when I spoke to OHP they said the change was active immediately but wouldn't be updated in the system for at least three days. The clerk seemed to ignore what I was saying and continued to tell me they couldn't see me. I continued to explain my insurance was Providence and gave him my member number but he wouldn't listen. At that point I was extremely frustrated and worried because I was supposed to get a refill for an important medication. I offered to play the recording of my call with OHP but he said no need. Finally he told me the appointment was canceled because my insurance didn't cover the location. I began to panic and became visibly upset and asked if my primary care doctor was in so I could get my medication refilled. Even worse instead of my doctor her assistant came up to tell me she said I should have enough medication. I told her that was not the case and she had the wrong date they thought my medication was filled. Luckily I keep all my appointments on my phone and was able to correct her and my doctor wrote a refill. Overall the whole experience was stressful and embarrassing. I tend to get emotional when upset so everyone waiting saw me crying when I sat down to wait for the doctors assistant. My advice to the check-in clerks is to try and listen to what patients are saying and try to be a little more friendly. The biggest part of your job is customer service so you should try to help patients and not ignore them.
