Wonder small camera shop in Encinatas! Good film availability, and a wonderful selection of film era lens and cameras. Lovely people there, too! Definitely worth a stop.

It is understandable why this store is rated 3.7 at the time of this review. My girlfriend and I attended this store to look at film cameras. The male staff member was very rude when asked if he was able to help us. Upon coming over, we asked him for his opinion on what film camera we may consider. He threw out a random photograph term and asked us if we knew what it meant? We did not, at which point he said, you know nothing about cameras, you should get a point and click. He pointed to a plastic disposable camera. The interaction continued, ending in us leaving shortly after due to the unprofessional and rude interaction. I would recommend finding another store to support.

Small shop with a decent selection of lenses, used cameras, and film across multiple formats. The prices on the film were very reasonable but the person who rung me up did not seem to have much experience actually using the film. But I'm still happy because I was able to pick up some film only a couple bucks more than it would have cost online and several dollars cheaper than other brick-and-mortar places.

This is one of the only places that sells film and film cameras and will develop film. Don't be fooled by any of these 1 star reviews. Gary is great, but he isn't a salesman and he isn't going to dote on you from a customer service perspective. He knows his stuff and will help you but be patient. He will warm up to you if you have a calm demeanor. I think people expect service here as if it was a restaurant. This is not a restaurant, it's a small family business. When you come into the small shop, act as if you are in your neighbors house. Be polite, wait your turn, introduce yourself and they will treat you right. Personally, I'm very grateful to have this small business in our community.
