I had a great experience here. I had just a small task but the owner did a very nice job and the turnaround was extremely fast - she completed the job for me while I was there! They seem like very nice people, and charge very fair prices. Don't hesitate. It's also a cute shop just down the street from Lloyd Center. Thanks, will be back.

I took in two pairs of pants to try the service at A 1 and I won't be going back. Picture posted of my now asymmetrical jeans. The other pair of pants had long legs that needed to be taken up quite a bit, but they took too much and it was returned at least a 1/2" too high. The pant legs barely cover the top of my boots with a 1/4 break and that's not what was chalked. I also needed more material taken to shorten the rise in both pants, which they aggressively refused to do saying they didn't need it. I've worked with top quality tailors before and this is not one of them. My search continues in Portland.

I wish I had listened to the other bad review. Similar to what David Small said, I had a zipper fixed... It took a week, which I didn't mind, but the work was obviously shoddy. For instance, the stitching was extremely erratic and crooked, with only one row of stitches total. I could have done this with a sewing needle. It's been one month and the stitches are starting to come out. This weak service cost a week of time and $20 ($1 more than quoted on the phone for some weird reason). I will not recommend this place to anyone and will spread the work about their lack of attention to zipper repair. It looks like they care about fixing dresses per the other reviews so I'm definitely disappointed that they slack on small repairs.
