I have purchased three sewing machines from Montavilla and I could not be happier with the purchase experience. Where Montavilla really shines is in their customer service! It is A+. A week ago my machine took a “car flight” and was not buckled up. Cynthia and Colleen from the Gresham store were so helpful and amazing. They made me feel better and assured me we would fix it. I ended up needing to take it to Blaine at the Portland store. I was sewing again the next day! These are amazing people who care about their customers! Thank you Montavilla.

Very disappointed. I was having a problem with my Juki and brought it to Montavilla to fix. They fixed that issue and call me to pick up. I drive from Brush Prairie WA to pick up. Then they tell me it need a service; it's dry, need tention adjment etc.... WHY couldn't they tell me that on the phone. Then with my machine sitting RIGHT THERE they sell me a foot that does not fit my machine. SO disappointed and angry right now!!!

I am so grateful that we have Montavilla as our local sewing center! They've got knowledgeable professionals, a wonderful assortment of machines to choose from, an awesome fabric collection at the Lake Oswego store, and wonderful specials and financing to help you buy your dream machine. I am so happy with my new Janome!

At Montavilla Sewing Center the sale doesn’t end when the purchase is made. They have an exceptional service center and offer multiple classes to learn your new machine, or to learn a new technique. Whatever your sewing needs are, they are always ready to help. The great prices they offer is a bonus also.

Hi Lisa, thanks for reaching out! We would be happy to take your machine in on trade towards purchase of a new/pre-owned machine, but I'm sorry to say we do not offer consignment. If you're looking to sell it, we recommend the normal channels like Craigslist, OfferUp, eBay, etc.
We'd be happy to try! You're welcome to bring the machine in to any location any time, and we'll check it out while you wait. Due to the nature of the problem, we may need to check it in for service to give ourselves more time for a proper diagnosis. Either way, the estimate is free, and we can go from there.
Hi Doug, Sorry, we actually don't carry any vacuum cleaners. We share the building with Stark's Vacuums, which is a separate business, so you should reach out to them at 503-251-6912.
Hi Kay. Yes, we will gladly service this machine for you. We're very familiar with them. Service on that type of machine is $249.95, with a one year warranty on the work we provide. You're welcome to bring it in anytime, no appointment needed.
They're using plastic barriers between consultants and customers as well as enforced distancing between the repair techs and customers bringing their machines in. There's sanitizer available and masks are required.
Hi Jauna, We have a handful of different sewing cabinets, from the Koala, Horn, Tailormade, and Kangaroo brands. There are a lot of options, and they're all fairly large, so we don't have room to stock any of them, other than the ones that are on display. We typically order them when customers want to purchase one. Or, we offer discounts on floor model cabinets if you're not opposed to a floor model. The best bet would be to stop by & see what is on the floor, or to look up those brands online & see what their options are. Feel free to call us if you have any other questions. Thanks!
Yes, we service Elna machines. I'm not exactly sure what piece you're talking about, but if you are able to bring it in with the machine, I'm sure we could help you figure it out. Feel free to bring it in anytime & we'll try our best!
The best advice I have is to go in or call and talk to them. They're very helpful, and will gladly figure out how to assist in finding one.
We sure do, but just the machine. We don't do any sort of restoration or repair to the cabinet. You're welcome to bring the whole thing in, but it's usually easier for everyone if you're able to pull the machine out of the cabinet & leave the cabinet at home. It's very easy, & we'll be happy to walk you through that process over the phone if you like.
