Is it unusual to receive tickets with different seating than what ordered. If do is this be because i declined to pay for insurance protection?

Ive only been once but that sounds very unusual. Trip protection shouldn't have anything to do with it. Try your best to confirm that you recieved exactly what you paid for.

I've been to several games, and have always recieved tickets with seat numbers stated at purchase. If they're better seats I'd run with it, if they're worse I'd contact who you purchased them from.
