There is a round button on the left side near the middle of chair below armrest. If you fiddle with it, press the front of button and near the back, then side to side. I'm sorry I don't know the exact way. But it works great and the seats are very comfortable.
The seat back doesn't really go back. If you press the front of the circular button on the left armrest, the footrest will raise up and the seat bottom slides forward. Press the back of the button to lower it.
To recline the is a button or switch. On the right I believe
