I hav found that most hotels REQUIRE a credit/debit card for incidentals & damage, tho they only put a hold on it & usually don't * Sum will accept a cash deposit of usually not less than $100 in lieu of plastic, which Uwill getbak after they check Ur room after chekout. It depends on if it's 1nite or more and other things. Just be nice & ask.

Mostly all hotels have that policy for incidental charges. They would put temporary hold on your credit card

Paying for a hotel you have to have a debit card or credit card. Better than bring in cash to confuse things.
