I had my baby there at the hospital but I didn't get a certificate or anything with his name birth weight, u know like a birth certificate that the hospitals give u. How can I get that

It depends on how long ago you were hospitalized. I would start by calling your OBGYN (or whoever delivered your baby) since that person is the one who signs a certificate of live birth. He or she may be able to get the Records Dept at the hospital to provide you with an original copy of the certificate without undue paperwork. If the birth happened awhile back (over 6 months) you'll need to contact the Long Beach Dept of Health and Human Services. They keep records of births in Long Beach and a certificate is free until the infant is one year old. After that you'll need to contact the County of Los Angeles Registrar's Office to obtain a copy.
