I always park in the paved lot and walk right to the beach. I'm not sure if you can drive on the beach there. When your driving slowly on the roads on the island the horses will come right up to your car and try to stick their head in the window!

Most of the horses aren't really on the beach, they are in the marsh on the back side of the island. And a number of them are commonly seen from the paved road.

The horses wander everywhere. However they are wild animals and come and go as they please so no guarantees.

You can see the horses without driving on the beach. They are wander all over the island. You don't need an all wheel drive vehicle to see the horses.

I dont think you're allowed to drive on the beach. The horses roam all over including the parking lots. You can drive slow through the park or park and walk. They also have several campgrounds

Get your spot on the route in town really early in the day.

You do not need a four-wheel drive. There is a road. There is a parking lot at the beach. Then you just walk to the beach
