It is a very friendly safe place...people come from all over the world...I truly believe you will love it & enjoy your time spent there...it will more than likely become a family tradition for you and your family to visit. Make sure to take plenty of pictures of the ponies and scenery. Please be careful not to make close interactions with the ponies, they are lovely but it can be dangerous to be too close. The rule of law is not to be within 40 feet of them. Enjoy your stay & Welcome to Maryland. I would also suggest going to Chincoteague Island which is nearby in Virginia it's the same atmosphere. Again, enjoy & welcome!
Very safe and welcoming
Yes it is. There are many people from all backgrounds. If you go out to eat I would stay away from four seasons. When we where their the ladies behind the desk where making fun of POC. I left a bad review there on their page on Google. Other than that we had a great time and had no other issues with seeing ignorant people towards skin color.
Yes!! It is a very diverse place. Your children should feel very welcome.

Maryland has a heavy African American population and they welcome tourists from all over every year. You should be just fine.
