Easy, to many homeless people using the restroom and leaving it in terrible condition. Lots of people who buy nothing were using it. So they did away with it being open. I have made many complaints about it , but it fell on deaf ears. Subway down the block has one . That s why I rated it a 3
Go to the Barnes and Nobles they have restrooms I would avoid going to certain Starbucks that lack facilities
Social engineering keeping homeless people out at the expense of those that buy their expensive coffee SMH
...its due to the few peopple that abuse the privilege...
Believe it or not you have a lot of transient people using these bathrooms and messing them up also have a lot of drug users going into these bathrooms and getting high I've Came Upon that of number of times especially in the Union Square area and the Lower East Side the bathrooms should be utilized by paying customers
Most Starbucks in that area do not have a public restroom It Is Not So Much The homeless As The Treatment Facility's around the area
As Anthony Diomede said sadly they did not want people who are homeless using their facilities. It's a very transient area too.
