Can confirm the Essex ferry runs year round with schedule variations season to season. October schedule runs from 6:30am (from Essex) to 8pm (from Charlotte) with hourly runs except between 10am and 4:30pm running every 30 minutes. Schedule goes till October 27th when it switches to late fall with only hourly runs.
