Searching, or digging, on state property is illegal. If something was found in the park it would be the property of the State of Arkansas and not "finders keepers". Occasionally, permission is granted but it would require a permit though the Director of Arkansas State Parks. Call the park for more details.
You can with permission. You have to fill out a form at the visitors center
