Yes, if you go across the dam then make a right past the old electric house .. There are swimming areas down that way

We stayed at horseshoe bend lake at a timeshare..but i think there is a public area to swim in..at the marina

You will see signs for swimming areas , just be careful not to swim where the signs say stay out of the water there is some good under current in places where the no swimming signs are , its a beautiful walk around the paths also

Down from the dam there is an area for swimming.
