March through mid-July. September and October are the prime months. Crappie can be caught just about all year in the cypress shallows.
I was out there last year early April and got a few. It was really cold and wind was at 15 mph. 2 weeks later my uncle that lives by there said they were killing them. Late April. Is good. Blue gill in May
