It's a really nice facility, gorgeous surroundings and some damn fine bourbon. With that said, I'm not sure I'd drive four hours to see it unless I had some other things lined up nearby to make a day of it. Maybe taking a long weekend and visiting some other distilleries along the trail.
It is a beautiful facility and there are many other things to do and see in the area Make an overnight or weekend trip.
Very nice place. Beautiful surroundings. Great tastings. Informed hosts. But 4 hours? No, unless you plan other activities.
Make sure to do a bourbon trail day especially for the 4 hours going and another 4 coming back I assume. Go to Buffalo Trace (no charge tour) and Four Roses nearby. There are many other bourbon distilleries as well.
