No, you do not need a fishing or hunting license. You will have to pay for a day pass to get into the park.
You will need either a day pass (purchase at the gate) or annual parks pass. That's all. State Parks are different from State Wildlife Areas.
I didn't know this new law. And I was not asked to show either of those licenses when entering the park.
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission recently adopted a rule change, requiring all visitors 18 or older to possess a valid hunting or fishing license to access any State Wildlife Area or State Trust Land leased by Colorado Parks and Wildlife. This new rule will be in effect beg July 1. So I would say yes
