I have heard restaurants use the temperature as a way to discourage stragglers. It's all about turnover. People who linger too long after a meal prevent the restaurant from receiving revenue for that space.

I differ. The food is in the back not in dining room. They just have the air conditioning too high. Yeah ive thought of that too.

I am sure it has to do with the food they deal with that is in the open as well as customer feed back.
