Not sure they know what they want to be...brew pub, beer bar or New Orleans vibe restaurant. Seemed more like a typical beer bar. Beer is okay but most of their selection is out...several Abita beers on tap. Didn't eat there as it didn't seem clean (fits in to the New Orleans vibe). Prices were reasonable. Staff was almost personable.

If I could have gave them zero stars I would have! We arrived ready to eat, pay and tip well. Instead I couldn’t even get a drink of water let alone a meal. This place was grossly understaffed. I would never go back there!!!!!

My family and I celebrated Mardi Gras at North of the Bayou last night and it was great! We love the way the place is decorated, the NOLA music being played and the way they had everyone order them be seated worked well! I tried the Gator Gumbo and it was delicious. My daughter had the red beans and rice and it was flavorful without being too spicy for a 7 year old to enjoy. My boyfriend enjoyed his jambalaya too. The only thing I was disappointed about was the sweet potato bread pudding. I’ve had theirs many times even just called in only that for a carry out and this time it was hard and dry beneath the sauce on top. I was disappointed. I’m sure it was just due to needing such a large amount to cater to the overwhelming crowd coming in for the holidays. I will be back!

Came in for lunch on Tuesday. Was greeted by the bartender. Had the cheesecurds for an appetizer. The texture was awesome, but the sprinkling of seasoning on the batter after they were deep-fried wasn't super flavorful. The batter could use something else. The beer cheese soup was good. The pork stew was good. The crab enchiladas were amazing. Not too spicy. The stuffed chicken breast was good. The Chipotle Alfredo was tasty. The visual presentations of the food was beautiful. The server was friendly and attentive although he didn't know they menu super well. Next time I come, I'm trying all the desserts. The bartender wished us well on the way out. Will be back soon.

Chill, really laid-back, open dining area. Lots of seating, can definitely accommodate big parties.
