A good candidate will dress up and make a friendly inquiry in person to show they are motivated. Employers always look for a motivated employee. Be ready to tell them what you bring to the table so that they want to give you a chance. Good luck!
Also a short resume of your past high school work history or activities, especially in the industry for which you are applying. Be ready to answer the questions: Why do you want to work HERE! What skills do you bring to this job? Why should I hire you? Are you willing to work late hours, nights, weekends, etc. Be truthful. If you know the job offered won't work for you, that's ok, be honest and politely indicate as much. Remember, a lot of workers start at the bottom rung of the ladder and over time climb upward!
