Most of the deer are from those who lived on the ranch. There are a few "replica" mounts which are noted as such.
Some of the mounted heads are replicas, but most of them are real. The taxidermy is amazing and super life-like. Try to find the mouse! Lol
Actual deer who lived on the farm. Their deer are well loved and live much longer than deer in the wild. The deer in the museum have information about each one of them, their names, and a bit about their personalities when they lived on the ranch. They also have saved all of the antlers each deer has shed over the years so you can see how they grew.
Yea the taxidermy museum does have deer that were raised on the ranch...they also have several deer heads of the past deer on the wall too. The museum is fantastic and yes they have live deer to pet there too.
