Great park to visit and see some animals. They have indoor and outdoor exhibits. You can see many animals including donkeys, bald eagle, grey wolves, rabbits, turkey, turtles, owls and several more. Free admission but you can give a donation to help with the care of the animals. Family friendly for all ages. Definitely recommend visiting this park.

The Best Place Ever for "kids" of all ages. Nature Center Ranger is so lovely and accommodating! All the critters are so well looked after. My great granddaughter (and I) loves it here! Only a donation, but always leave $5 to help out!

Great little park along the Schulkill River. The park has a mini zoo with multiple outdoor enclosures and several buildings to walk though. All animals are native to Pennsylvania, many having been rescues who are not able to survive on their own due to injury. Park and zoo were clean and parking was plentiful with several small lots. Touring the zoo is about an hour and then you can walk the path either by the lake or river. The is no charge. NOTE: if you go after a heavy rain, make sure you wear old shoes or boots...VERY MUDDY! Worth the trip especially with younger children to introduce them to different animals.

Free. Compact, so you don't have to walk too much if you don't want to. A few live animals. The bald eagle is beautiful! Right near the Schuylkill River. Trails go in multiple directions if you want to hike. Well shaded picnic areas with grills. It's a great place to bring kids from 2-10 years old for an hour or so.
