Can you get to the Zoo from the metro?

Yes. If you get off at the Woodley Park metro its only about a block or two up the hill.

If you are mobility challenged, you're better off going to the Cleveland Park station. No elevator at Woodley Park right now. The zoo is about the same distance from both stations.

For the easiest walk, when going to the zoo get off at Cleveland Park station, from which there's a downhill walk to the zoo. When you exit the zoo, walk downhill to Woodley Park. The distances are about the same, as someone else said.
