Looking for a taste of pizza in DC, this place hit the spot on a warm day. Deep dish was filling! Family size portions, drinks with a splash, sweets for the old and young. Service was friendly.

It's hard to describe the place without sounding pejorative, but it has these old hunter lounge chandeliers, old fast good diner tables with some 18th or older century portraits, brick walls and hip oldies meet new EDM music. Despite all this weird fusion atmosphere, the place is on the charming side. The service is nice and fast, albeit not the most professional at times from the staff that isn't serving you directly. The food is great, and the pizza ingredients are splendid. You can pretty much build anything your mind can ever imagine about what a perfect pizza is to your taste buds. I wouldn't say it's on the pricey side, but be prepared to spend anywhere between 50 to 70$ with everything included for two people. PS The place also does have a kid's crayons and kids cups so it's nice that it thinks of the little ones.

Last night in DC and pizza was on our RADAR screen. Pi Pizza was close walking distance to our hotel so we gave it a try. Very glad we did. Friendly waitstaff had us seated and sipping very good Margaritas while looking the menu over. Nice atmosphere and bar looked like it would be a good place to be. They were out of Garlic Knots, surprising but they do receive high praise in other’s reviews. We opt for the dry rubbed and broiled veggies. These turned out to be a great choice, a nice mix of carrot planks, cauliflower and broccoli crowns all seasoned and charred to perfection and a solid starter for us, really tasty and accompanied by a cooling tzatziki type sauce. We ultimately went with a build your own thin crust pie, with basil pesto, mixed mushrooms and roasted garlic toppings. Wow, after the great veggies, this pizza was full of wonderful flavors. Piping hot with a nice crisp crust, just the right amount of sauce and cheese foundation to really let the other toppings shine. A really good pizza and we washed it down with a couple more Margaritas. Highly recommend Pi Pizza if you’re visiting DC and have a hankering for a great pie.

The group I was with while in Washington DC wanted to try this pizzeria. I'm very glad they did! I only have two options in pizza crust. Well I'm generally more of a fan of Chicago style than thin crust, some in the group had been there recommended the thin crust and I made the right choice. An excellent variety of pizzas and some really good tasting beer choices to go with it! All that and they have a family friendly environment also.

There's a parking garage on E Street - just one block over which is pretty reasonable price-wise.
Yes, we safely serve many with peanut allergies. Just let your server and manager know about arriving and we’ll take great care of you and your family. Thanks.
Yes, and no. The pizza is great, so if your kiddo likes pizza, you're good. My 9 y/o thought the sausage was too spicy, so she picked it off. (Parents loved it.) It is loud, so if your child is sound sensitive, maybe not a good idea. Lastly, our waiter looked at me like I had two heads when I asked for milk for her. If you want your child to drink milk, bring your own. We'd still go back despite these things.
Hi, Kim, thanks! We take reservations for 9 or more, but you won’t have trouble getting a table. I’ll let the management know your name either way. Thanks!
