Never had Maryland steamed crabs, but his crabs are pretty good and tasty.

They are Chesapeake Blue Crabs but honestly I've only had them out of VA
Maryland and Virginia Cheapeake Blue Crabs are the same species. Ours our caught locally in the early morning by Capt. Johnny and his crew and are delivered to the docks where they are sold. Hope you are able to enjoy them.
Got crabs Friday and they were very light. Trash crabs
Nobody can talk Captain Johnny and if they say they can when you go to them that crabs are mostly dead that's why I only go to Captain Johnny's $10 extra to steam them but it's well worth it coodles
