If for camping, yes. All campsites in the area will be busy on pretty much on all summer weekends, especially during long holiday weekends like labor day weekend. It was busy this past weekend (08/29/2020) at Campo Alto with all sites reserved.
We live in the area, while McGill and the other campgrounds do get full, Alto seems to always have extra spots due to no-shows and the fact its a bit further away from the interstate. Remember over half the sites are first come first serve so you still have a chance to find a spot. Just spent the weekend there and there were 3 empty sites for the end of July. Same thing the week before. When in doubt contact the camp host at McGill who runs Alto as well.
