The repels are not optional. I was so frightened the first time. However, it's quite relaxing (easier than the zip lining part).
Nope. You have to do them. I'll be honest it's really scary to do the first repel but I just sat on the edge of the platform and closed my eyes and did the old lady scoot off. And you repel down really really slow so that helps. Then after that it's no big deal...
