You can exchange the item for equal or less or if you do have the receipt you can get your money back and if you have the receipt it should tell you on the bottom of the receipt about exchanges
Customer service at Wal-Mart would definitely let you return an item.

Wal Mart will take almost everything as a return, especially if you have a receipt. There are exclusions like food, things obviously used, etc.

If you are using the walmart app, you can simply touch the 3 lines at the top left scroll down and select purchase history, and as long as it was by mail, click on start a return
