My friends and I aren’t having a prom and want to dress in our prom dresses and go to dinner would our dresses be to much? We plan to have 7 or 8 of us and want to have a fancy dinner. Most of our dress are really fancy prom dresses.

No, wearing dresses will be fine. If you see people there they all have elegant clothes on so wearing your dress will not be a problem.
Also, it's very expensive there for no reason
