Go to some of the restaurants and walk around at Marietta Square! You can visit the candy shop and hang out in the center park.
There is a museum and art galleries as well as local theater of several types. The lyric theater for one which does musicals. The strand has many different types of entertainment. The restaurants around the square seem too will be good. Try the Australian bakery for breakfast or lunch. I always do.
Yes Greg Obrien, there's where we decided to go
I suggest Chattanooga little over an hour away lots to do.
There are a few bed and breakfasts near the square. Be sure to look for the new Market at the square which has a lot of places to eat. Kind of casual though, so that maybe a lunch option. There are a handful of more romantic dinner options also from Italian to Columbian to Asian and more.
Walk, eat pizza, there are also places for ice cream, the plaza is pretty as well and the view too
