Whoa... I have never met an actual Messerschmitt before! So cool. His answer was good too. I live near the airport. I love aviation so I love the planes going over and I spend a lot of time at the airport too. They have a playground there I take my kids to and 2 restaurants. Planes go over at all hours. Heaviest traffic times are what you would expect. Daylight hours. The control tower does close at 9 pm every night I believe but planes can still takeoff and land through the night. They don't bother me at all though and I live pretty close! If you are thinking of moving into the area and think that it might bother you just don't move here. I am sick of people on nextdoor.com complaining about the airfield that's been here since WW2 like it's a newly emerged nuisance. It's a great asset to the community in general and to me a vital part of the area. The noise is nothing like a big commercial airport. Jets that come in are smaller twin engine private jets.
No, however the primary runway 21L is having maintenance done on it along with an EMADS system installed, reducing the usable runway distance to about 4300ft. A lot of insurance companies wont allow their jets to land on less than a 5000ft rwy so it has significantly impacted traffic in and out of PDK and will continue to do so until the project is finished in Jan/Feb

Not that I am aware of. Mostly nights is when they don't fly in and out of there
