I purchased a vehicle from out of state, what paperwork do I need to present to Maryland, to get temporary tags for the vehicle.

Maryland doesn't issue temp tags they will give you a 30 day hard tag you need the title and proof of insurance.

My understanding is you must have proof of insurance, odometer reading, safety and emissions inspection certificates, title with your name on it, and a notarized bill of sale if bought from private party. Go online to check and make appt.

Drivers License ,title and proof of insurance call ahead because you may have to make an appointment....or go to one of the satellite offices that handles tags....
