Entrance is free, but special exhibits have a cost. Parking is about $12.00
The DMA is free to the public! There are some openings for certain exhibits that cost money, but the museum offers free admission to everyone with the exception of specified showings.
Honestly - take the train down and walk over. The train ticket and free general admission is worth the trek over from the train. Pay is reserved for parking, special exhibitions, food, the museum store, or membership. It's a really inexpensive and classy experience. They even have live music at times. The food trucks outside just have less expensive and much better tasting food.
If you live in Dallas, it can be worth the cost of a membership for the free parking any time you go downtown.
Free just pay for parking and special events.
