Try to contact the junkyard owner and if he agrees,search for the car. If you find it, that's good or else I guess you're out of luck. Alternatively, if you have apple care plus or something similar just file a lost complaint and pay the minimum insurance amount
Make sure you cancel the old one
Buy a new one.
