We ask for the questionnaire to be completed before you visit so that the staff can have paperwork done ahead of time, that way if you find the pet you'd like to adopt then process isn't delayed by having to complete & process the questionnaire (which can take more than 24hrs if we're busy). It doesn't commit you to adopting and doesn't cost anything. But you can visit the shelter to see the cats & dogs without having done the questionnaire. As for same day adoptions, all pets must be spayed/neutered before leaving. We usually have many pets who are already fixed & could leave as soon as the paperwork is able to be processed.
