In Fort Worth the building closes at 9pm. There are benches outside if you need to wait for a late night bus.
If you have a ticket and you are waiting on a connection, you should not have to wait outside, it is not the safest place to wait.

No, you can sit outside in the cold on an outside bench in the smoking area that only has two benches. They have no other sitting areas outside that I saw. I guess they did that to keep the homeless from sleeping on them ☹ or anyone else waiting on the dam buses to arrive.
There are benches outside for you to sit in the area to wait on your next bus
The one in Houston they asked for your ticket. Then made you wait up front. On the inside though.
