When do I need to renew my jps connect and how will I know when it's up

I get an alert on my phone. This was after I missed renewal a few times. Ask that you be alerted digitally.

Once a year, they might send a notice, of this I am not sure but if you kept your copy of approval under the medical record #, it will have the expiration date. Hope this helps. I just read the bottom of the first page and it states for continued coverage, remember to renew prior to the expiration date listed above.
