If you leave your car at the parking lot beyon sunset or 7pm will you get a ticket and/or towed? I want to see the sunset on the peak but that means I’ll be there beyond the closing time.

Park outside gate ,it only adds a short additional walk so you can't get locked in.But note the rules say you can't stay after the designated time

I just asked a City of Phoenix park ranger. You can remain in the park until 11pm.

Agreed no ticket... Will get locked in after 11 if not careful. Remember you are a blinding Beacon of light with your headlamps after Sunset so they will find you if you're there after 11

There is a gate that closes automatically at closing time

We stayed well past sunset with no problems.

You won't get a ticket.

We go to watch the sunset all the time. They lock the entrance gate and have spikes to prevent people coming after. We have never had a problem.

I've never been there that late, but I do remember seeing a gate. So probably they close it at night
