Yes, it's basically an open park like space with parking. I thought the question was about the area where the Las Vegas sign was. Definitely need adult supervision. There are things for young people to do but it's safer in a group with adult supervision.
As long as they stay with the parents and not go out by themselves.....the strip is fun..but lots of assaults.. pick pockets...and drunks....just be aware of your surroundings...
