According to records at the Stearns County Historical Museum the building has always been some kind of saloon (except I’m guessing during the days of prohibition), dating all the way back to when it first opened back 1890. (EDIT) FUN FACT: There are tunnels underground that connect this building to multiple other buildings in the area (i.e. The House of Pizza, D.B. Searles) The passageway leading from The Olde Brick House connects to a large room(s) located under the parking lot across the street to the north. This large room(s) were once used for storing furs. From there I have been told that these passageways go on to connect up with the aforementioned other buildings and quite possibly more. I have first hand knowledge of the tunnel/passageway leading from The Olde Brick House. I was told that at one point in time someone had raced go-carts around in the large room(s) under the parking lot to the north. So I'm guessing it's fairly large.
