You can buy a meal card for $6 that has a bunch of food. You can buy them in the cafe and then you won’t have to leave your child’s room to get food.
You will be given a counselor at 1st meet she can get you vouchers for free food. At least they did for us in 2010 until 8 yrs ago. Maybe not every day but they can give you llots of resources and i know on the oncology floors they put out ALOT of cupcakes, donuts, granola bars, etc. The hostess kind and would be plenty to be able to get a few to get through testing or the day and its in the parent lobby in the mornings and coffee, tea, and if u want juices just ask theyll get that too if its still the same and i would be surprised if they didnt even years later.
they do but not sure how much it costs.
We were there for 9 days with our 3-month old. We did buy the $6 meal cards to order from the cafeteria for when there was only one of us there but also went down to the cafeteria to buy. Nurse told me that food on the floor was for patients only but since my daughter was breastfed (and I was feeding her) she would be happy to get me food too. I got a bowl of cereal one morning but that was it.
