I have a Samsung 40" LCD TCV which few days back had couple of lines vertically running on the screen. They widened over time and suddenly picture is all messed up. Does this sound fixable?

My Samsung TV was working and the cable box was moved to another Samsung TV. It was put back a few hours later and the Samsung the cable box was attached to first will not turn on. The connections are right, it has been rebooted, a new cable box attached. Can this tv be fixed reasonable?
