I order online for pickup all the time and have never had this issue. However, I also order only at lunch time. I know they stop accepting customers an hour before close as mentioned in the other comments. Maybe the call got dropped, but it wouldn't hurt to mention it to management anyway.
I've never called to place an order but I know they stop accepting customers about an hour before they actually close thier doors. But that is rude to hang up. Might address management about that part.
