Some cars do have minimums, but if the highest bid is below the minimum reserve, they contact the seller and offer the bidder and seller a chance to work something out. Sometimes you will see the same car, at every event, for a couple months, because a seller won't budge. It doesn't seem to happen frequently, however. Cars with a reserve seem to be the exception, rather than the rule. At any rate, there are so many cars to choose from, that few bidders will ever have a problem finding a good deal, if they have done their homework. It might take attending more than a couple of events , but the deals are there to be found.
