I need to find a veterinarian that's compatible with my cat, who is a sweetheart on his own turf and with at least a handful of people but has not taken lightly to the invasiveness of an exam. I don't want to have him anesthetized for an exam.

Hi Michael, We would be happy to schedule an exam for Toby and meet him and see if we are able to safely examine him without any sedation. Please give us a call to set up an appointment at (312) 583-1921. Thank you, Samantha

More info: he's getting old now, going on 10, I think and he's only been to the vet 2-3 times since I got him from a shelter when he was about four. Urinated once outside the litter box recently (maybe a month ago now), not seriously worried about that but want to find a vet that won't have to anesthetize him for an annual or biannual exam (the idea of putting him in a box and giving him gas, as one suburban vet has done in the past and two recently said or suggested would be necessary again, doesn't sit well with me). I'm not averse, however, to giving him a safe dose of gabapentin or similar. Would you be able to accommodate Toby? And while I have only gone to suburban vets in the past, I actually live just south of you. And I'm going to be sure to mention that mystery reviewer for a free exam (if you're compatible with my cat, that is; if you're not [or feel anesthesia is the way to go] and I need to keep searching, I'll be compelled to pay :-)).
