I would like to start off by saying I don’t write reviews ever, but this definitely made an exception!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We took our 2 month old puppy in for the first time with a stool sample. The doctor said she would call the following day with results. 3 days went on and no call, but at this point we know she has worms. When we called to follow up the receptionist said that the doctor should be getting back to me soon. Another 3 days go on and I called again… finally the doctor called me later that evening. It took almost a week just to get an answer/ help which was very frustrating. We decided to give them another shot today since we had an appointment already. We go in and the receptionist tells us that we would have to wait an hour because everyone just went on lunch. I understand everyone has to have a break/ eat, but if someone has an appointment at a certain time why would you decide to make them wait an hour? We’re highly disappointed and we won’t be going back.

Dr. Mendez and the rest of the professionals here are very kind, knowledgeable, and have a lot of patience. I definitely recommend them to everyone I know, from pet owners, to groomers, and bet sitters/walkers.

We brought our dog here to get a mass removed from his eyelid. The first red flag was when we showed up for the scheduled surgery, the vet didn’t even know why he was there. They did the surgery (successful) but sent us home with little instruction in how to care for him. The vet didn’t take the time to explain the medications prescribed until we asked the front desk, and then eventually got to talk to the vet tech about it. We were supposed to go in yesterday to get his stitches removed and I called in the morning to verify instructions for the tranquilizer pills we needed to give him. The instructions they gave us directly contradicted the initial instructions and they changed the instructions twice during the same call. Turns out, they didn’t even give us the right amount of medication. The whole process, which should have been pretty straightforward, turned into a mess. We found a new vet who was able to remove the stitches and provided us reassurance during the entire process. The vet we went to was shocked that VCA didn’t even do a biopsy on the mass removed. The vet didn’t even explain to us that it could have been cancerous. Although the chances are low because we have a young dog, it’s still a possibility that the vet should have shared with us. Save your time, your money, and the well-being of your pet and go elsewhere. I’m pretty dam patient but this is insane. The only helpful employee was the person I spoke to at the front desk who was apologetic but at this point, it’s too late.

If I could give a negative rating I would. I schedule back in December for my dog to be put down. About a week in advance I let them know about the situation and they told me how much it was. So when the difficult day came...these a-holes see my dog and took him to the room. The hardest thing to do is put your best friend down. Then they come back with my dog to tell me they can't do it. Mainly because they were scared even as he was muzzled. So of course that cause me to go elsewhere. Creating panic within my friend because these people couldn't do there one job. It's already a hard thing to do but to have my dog know it was coming creating fear and putting him in panic mode. I truthfully hope this place goes out of business. I hope the workers there all get fired. I doubt anyone cares but the lack of professionalism within in this place is crazy. And the fact they return my dog and told me to leave immediately was uncalled for since I was on the way out. I really hope that yall get what's coming to you. I hate this place and won't ever bring a single pet there even for a check up.
