You should call collector's and ask. They are familiar with many types of firearms.
Winchester has been making that same basic rifle since 1894, which is why it is known as "the Winchester model 94". It was the first rifle to use the new modern composition "smokeless" powder instead of the old dangerous "black powder". At the time, it was considered very powerful, very rapid, and "flat" shooting. It is perfectly balanced and a joy to carry in heavy brush and deep woods. Even today it is considered a great choice for brush country deer and hog hunting. It has been one of the very most popular cartridges for over a century and affordable ammunition is available everywhere. It is the perfect east Texas carbine. Depending upon condition, vintage, features, and a thousand other variables; it could be worth anywhere from $50 to $5000, ... or more. Get the serial number from the rifle and email it to a real gun smith like Collectors Firearms or Drury's. They can give you a ballpark idea whether it's valuable as a collectible or just a field grade hunting rifle.
Bring your firearm to them so they can perform an assessment and give you a proper quote. Otherwise you'll only get a ballpark figure over the phone.
