About me same as Walmart... if every cash register doesn't have atleast a few people in line they will close some registers to make sure lines form.. I'm not entirely sure why but walmart and meijer both will gladly close all of their paid employee run checkouts ASAP and more than ½ of their free labor customer run checkouts just to make sure people wait in line to check themselves out. (And they always keep the free labor customer run checkouts right beside eachother as close as possible to one another because it's easier for their hourly wage based paid employees to watch out for you the free labor customers checking out and bagging your own purchases, and prevent theft by their free labor working customer employees. Seems that most businesses are short on workers these days even though our our unemployment rate remains high, I assume that it is because unemployment has been paying everyone that has not been working morre money than people who are working will make
It went well when I was there. No lines
Seems like it.I think it is to encourage you to use the self checkouts. I am old I like people working. I do not get a discount for checking myself out so why should I do the work? Let someone else have a job.
Yes
After 8pm til close best time to go or early morning when they open
No.
Hello Kim, lines are longer at high volume times. I typically shop within an hour of closing, and never have an issue with long lines.
It appears to be a recent thing with covid, normally theyre pretty good about having cashiers.
